AMON

Amon is an on-line web-based benchmarking system. The user-friendly interface provides a low threshold starting point for users to compare their performance to that of others.

Amon is focused on the operational processes of plants. For this, standardized performance indicators to compare the performance of technology, production, maintenance, procurement of technical materials and supply chain over several sites, are included.

The diversity of performance indicators and the ability to customize the framework makes Amon a versatile platform for communication between plants and the organizational levels within plants. This way, continuous improvement will be facilitated.

Benchmark Reports

The benchmarking results in Amon are presented in charts and tables. These results are based on a large number of underlying (key) performance indicators. The (key) performance indicators are translated to the charts and tables, based on the audience perspective. Audience level is the perspective in the enterprise at which the particular report is aimed.

At lower audience levels, the information is closer to the primary manufacturing process in the enterprise. At the highest audience level, typically, the manufacturing manager will be interested in high-level (key) performance indicators.

The participants of Amon can generate three types of benchmark reports:

  • Standard reports
  • Custom reports
  • Forecast reports

Amon reports are aimed at different levels in the organization

Standard reports
Standard reports are predefined reports for a specific benchmark. Each user and level in the enterprise has its own set of predetermined standard reports, which detail the selected (key) performance indicators. Typical standard reports include:

  • Strategic business unit manufacturing management report
  • Plant management report
  • Plant technology report
  • Plant production report
  • Plant maintenance report

Custom reports
The participant can generate his own custom report. The participant can choose the report properties. This includes the name or description of the report, audience level, whether a balance score card is shown and if you want external information such as World Class targets and known Chemicals industry as best-practice targets.

Forecast reports
With forecast reports participants have the ability to do “what if” calculations on selected Performance Indicators. There are two types of forecast reports:

  • A forecast report based on a single performance indicator
  • A forecast report based on a correlation between two distinct performance indicators.

In a forecast report the participant can select the period, monthly, quarterly and yearly over which he want to forecast. The last known parameters stored in the database for this period will be loaded automatically.
